The president is often referred to as the most powerful man, but when we look more deeply, the constitution limits many of the powers of the president. The presidency comes under the executive part of legislation. The president has 9 different powers that come under the consitution. But, the veto power or the “executive power” is only present among 3 of the 9 powers that the president has. In most of the cases, the senate and its agreement is required. Though the president has the authority of veto power, but if it could be established or not is the power of the congress. This implies, that “executive power” is a form of delegated power.
The president is powerful since, he has the power to veto a legislation. Also, the president stands as the “commander in chief” of the armed forces. The president has granted pardons as well as reprievesand he has the power of recovering the ambassadors.
