Here we will discuss the application of QFD technique in the development of a new medical device along with an example.

QFD stands for quality function development which is applied in the organization for the maintenance and the proper development and functioning of a product to be launched soon in an organization. When it comes to developing a new medical device the uses of quality function development techniques would be the best approach to be used. We can apply quality function development technique in the development of a new medical device but it mining the need of the patients in the medical department, then dose needs are transmitted into the particular specifications that would be required to develop a new medical device according to the preference of the patients and then the medical or the engineering team would work on the development of the new medical device.

EXAMPLE:- There was a medical institution in a nearby area where there was a need of development of a new medical device, therefore, they did a survey of the patients and according to the determination of the need the transmitted whole of the description into the specifications to the engineering team and that engineering team worked on the development of that medical device to be used in the medical department.
