Define the word “ethics” as you see it.
Ethics are defined as the moral principles that govern a person's behaviour or the conducting of an activity.
Give us an example of how that definition would play out in your daily life as a professional in the arena of public health.
Following are the examples of ethics in my daily life as professional:
Autonomy: Patients basically have the right to determine their own healthcare.
Justice: Distributing the benefits and burdens of care across society.
Beneficence: Doing good for the patient.
Nonmalfeasance: Making sure you are not harming the patient.
What are some consequences that might occur if the organization’s ethics were either ignored or compromised?
Consequences such as mistrust, unaccountability, mutual disrespect and unfair medical care practices may occur.
As a leader/manager in the organization how would you handle it?
(A) By formulating code of conduct.
(B) By instructing members to adhere to the ethical principles such as beneficence, nonmaleficence, accountability, fidelity, autonomy, fairness and veracity.
(C)Strict action in case of violation of these codes.
