Discuss how, as a leader, you can anticipate and overcome resistance to change in an organization. Must contain 200 words.
Change:
Organization change is basically seen as a change in the structure or process in a company that has a positive outlook and result of the company.
Resistance for Change:
1. The organization and employees will have a challenge towards adapting on new culture and climate which makes them to resists towards change.
2. The organization and employees should plan and focus on strategic planning and development which would cost more so that they would resist towards change.
3. The whole management system needs to be changed in the organization, so that the organization and employees would take time to learn and adapt for development and that resist towards change.
4. The organization and employees would resist towards change as they would feel that the technology, innovation etc would affect the organization growth and development when there is less control system and the employees needs to be trained to improve their skills and knowledge.
5. The organization and employees would have a fear of failure so that they resist towards change as that creates stressful work environment.
As the manager the Change cna be managed as explained below:
1. One important factor to managing change is that the employees should be well aware of why these changes are taking place in first place.
2. Building a strong business keys regarding the reason for change and when explained how it impacts the employees in the organization on commitment on change can be built.
3. Presenting the story of the need for change and how to carry forwards to implement the same also builds the commitment on change.
4. Presenting visualized effects regarding the requirement for change to improve the business strategy and how it would grow the organization would also create involvement from employee side.
5. Building the change module drivers which should be easily understood by the employees can build commitment to change.
