Strategies that managers can use for waste prevention and reduction are :

a. Reusing the office materials such as using reusable coffee mugs instead of plastic ones, appliances, furniture, office material etc so that final disposal can be delayed while help to reduce overall waste.

b. Organizations can donate the things or materials which are no longer needed such as food etc to NGOs or hotels or restaurants who has local food banks.

c. Reducing the use of waste generating practices such as printing papers when they are not needed , printing on double sides etc can help to reduce waste.

These strategies are likely to be successful as :

a. It will communicate message of waste prevention at workplace among employees where they will get into habits of recycling and understand the negative consequences of waste.

b. It will help to enhance the company's image in marketplace while the employees will start to reuse the things instead of creating waste.
