Miriam and Devon are both upper-level managers, but have very different decision-making styles. Please name and describe in your own words four decision making processes that could be used to guide their decision making. In addition, provide and explain in your own words 10 ways in which their decision could, in general, be derailed or hindered, and explain each.

Below is the discussion of the different types of decision making processes that could be used to guide the decision making along with the explanation of 10 ways in which a decision could be hindered.
There are basically four types of decision-making process:-
1) DIRECTIVE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS:- Directive decision-making process is that type of decision-making process which includes the autocratic style of decision making especially when the main head of the team would take the decision by the power he has. he would access all his experience and knowledge to make decisions and would take the power in his hands only without letting power slip into the hands of the other.
2) CONCEPTUAL DECISION-MAKING PROCESS:- Conceptual decision-making process is that process that undertakes all the alternative and the rational decision making which would ultimately help in the fulfilling of long term objective and the goal of the organization. In this decision making the various alternative are taken to solve a problem to make sure that if one alternative doesn't work the other would definitely work.
3) ANALYTICAL DECISION-MAKING PROCESS:- Analytical decision-making process is that type of decision-making process which involves the various number of research reports and analytical data to make sure that all the information is required to solve a current condition or situation in your organization is properly available with the organization.
4) Behavioral DECISION-MAKING PROCESS:- Behavioural decision-making approach is that decision-making approach which mainly focuses on the facts which people can relate to, all the real-life facts which people can relate to easily.
There are 10 ways in which a decision can be hindered:-
1) CONSEQUENCES OF DECISIONS:- When the supervisors in an organization take the decision, it has many consequences. Those consequences can be negative and positive both. Those consequences have a direct or indirect impact on the organization's decision-making process.
2) WRONG INSTINCTS:- Whenever a decision is taken in the decision-making process, there are some instincts that carry forward along with that decision, and a decision can be impacted by those instincts.
3) EMOTIONAL IMPACTS:- sometimes a decision in a decision-making process is highly infected by the emotional circumstances in the workplace of the organization.
4) IRRATIONAL THINKING:- Irrational thinking in the decision-making process can lead to the hindrance in the decisions to be made in the future.
5) OPINION DIFFERENCE:- The supervisor and the employees in the organization have a different opinion which can have an impact on the organization due to differences in opinions.
6) DISTRACTION FROM GOAL:- Sometime the decision-making results in the nonfulfillment of the goals in the objective of the organization due to the destruction in the decision-making process.
7) PAST FAILURES:- Sometimes a decision due to which the organization had suffered failures can impact future observations and decisions.
8) IRRATIONAL FINANCING:- Sometime correctional financing can have a negative impact on the decisions in the decision-making process.
9) UNINTERESTED EMPLOYEES:- Sometimes when the employees are interested this results in the negative decision-making process.
10) SOCIAL PRESSURE:- Sometime there can be a hindrance in the decision-making process due to the social pressure of the society.
