Piracy

Software piracy is basically the illegal copying, distribution, or use of software. These days it has become a very profitable business and a number of crime groups are been working on it. Software piracy always causes a very huge of lost in revenue for publishers, which in turn results in higher prices for the consumer. When we purchase a commercial software package, then when we purchased we agree an end user license agreement ( EULA )that is been included in every software to protect that software from copyright claims. Mostly the license states that you can install the original copy of software you bought on one computer and then you can make a backup copy of that only in case if the original is lost or damaged. There are many types of software piracing

• Softlifting
• Client-server overuse
• Hard-disk loading
• Counterfeiting
• Online piracy

CyberCrime:

Cybercrime is been listed in the category of offenses it is been involved in computers and computer networks.Many act of cybercrime are very important in high-tech forms of theft or fraud. These also include copyright infringement, exchange of child pornography. Some have expanded legal protections against harassment and stalking to include the Internet. Some acts of cybercrime, known as “cyberattacks,”.According to the survey the global annual cost of cybercrime approaches $1 trillion.
