We may describe bullying as harassment when it is personal and persistent. This is the pattern that most resembles our conventional definition of bullying, in which one person (or often a group) "picks on" another. Some of the main distinctions between drama and abuse is that the people involved have about the same amount of "social control" in drama (just as in a physical environment, the difference in size can be the difference between being a bullying environment and having just a fight). If, however, more witnesses favor one person than the other or anything else weakens the social standing of one person, drama may quickly become abuse.
