Are the symbols/letters part of a universal business language? Or can an organization have its own set of symbols and letters? Up to how many symbols/letters can a BPMN have? Portraying to how easy or difficut it would be to remember them if there's a lot to cover.
Symbols and languages are needed to be universal if these are to be used for business purposes. The main reason behind this is that for the business application, the symbols have to be understood by the variety of people, individuals, and the organizations so that there is a common or uniform application and thee symbols and language can be understood by anyone who is not the part of the organization. If the organization has its own language or symbols, then there will be many difficulties while operating with external entities and at the same time, if any member joins the company from outside of the organization where these symbols are not used, then this individual will face difficulties in understanding the communication and more time and money will be spent on the training
There are 20 symbols in BPMN modelling. Business Process Model and Notation is the most commonly used standard for the presentation of the process modelling all over the world. As the number of symbols will increase, it will be difficult to remember or to understand the right use of these symbols
