Discuss an attitude you had about a group of people prior to having direct contact with them. Describe the process you went through. How long did it take you to change your mind? Did you have any feelings about your former attitudes?
I was having a prejudice thoughts about the group, because I was not involved directly with the members of group. Here I said prejudice thoughts means negative feelings towards person's based on their memberships on that particular group. That group was engaged in doing some social activities for betterment of the society. But I was having certain predetermined thoughts regarding their working procedure. Later I had an opportunity to get exposure to the group dynamics. Slowly I observed some kind of change in my attitudes towards that group. When group members displayed more positive attitudes towards social responsibilities, I observed some positive changes in my attitude towards that group. Though it took a little more time For this positive change in my attitude, I was happy that I came out of the predetermined thought processes. Of course I admit that I was wrong in judging the group negatively.
