Definition of crime embibing all aspects is important because it direct the attention to type of question that need to be answered and decides the order of phenomenon that leads to investigation. It also sets the boundaries of criminological work, apart from establishing subject matter. Moreiver , with changing times definitions must evolve to match the current needs of criminological framework .For example traditional definition of crime is very narrow and constructive. Moreover , it only incorporates the legal aspect , ignoring the social aspect of crime.
