Summarize the debate over the meaning of domestic terrorism.

Domestic terrorism is one of the most important challenges a country faces today because of the difference a country has in terms of race, religion, culture, language etc. Domestic terrorism could be defined as the violent acts carried out by citizens of a country in order to advance their interests or show their dissatisfaction with the government or the society in order to get their attention. This would mean that domestic violence is an inside job which is very difficult to tackle because the citizens themselves engage in such violent acts. However, government is equipped with all the powers to strip the benefits and rights of those who engage in domestic terrorism in the name of religion, race, culture etc. On the other hand, it’s also the responsibility of the government to look into the issues that causes domestic violence. Although it’s an unlawful act and that it cannot be justified on any grounds, some groups who are oppressed would have no other means to let the government act on their causes since domination of the majority would be always present in the country.
