Necessary inventory would enable agility and leanness throughout the supply chain. Discuss this argument and the role of a warehouse
Agility supply management system refers to the porcess in which the response to the market demand is made as the company equips itself with customisable and smaller batches of the items to meet them at the flexible manner.
On the other hand, lean supply chain management system would primarly focus on cutting the costs for the inventory by producing high volume of goods thereby taking the benefits of economies of scale and low variability.
By maintaining necessary inventory both agility and leanness can be effectively proclaimed in the supply chain management. It would help the organisations to focus on speed and cost being both effective and efficient at their production and delivery of the supply chain. On the other hand, responsiveness, productivity and flexibility is hereby increased at large in this production and delivery process of goods.
A warehouse could be refer to a place which is essentially used for accumalation of goods and storage. It place the role of enabling the businessmen to carry and continue with their production throughout the time and to sell their produced inventory anywhere when there is essential demand for it.
