Which core behavior within the Code of Ethics do you personally think would be most challenging? Why?
There are basically 5 core behavior within the Code of Ethics. They are :
Among all these five Code of Ethics, the one which according to me is the most challenging is "Integrity".
Integrity refers to being truthful and straightforward towards one's profession. It is important and most challenging than any other core behavior.
To follow any profession, it is important to be true towards it and do what is thought to be ethical for that profession. For any person, it can turn out to be difficult to follow , as there are many obstacles that will make a person attract and do the activities which are against the code of ethics.
For the start, any individual may find it easy, but later on it may lead to huge problems. So this "Integrity " is thought to be most challenging.
Also for any profession it is most important as it prepares the base for an individual's behavior towards his work. Doing activities which are unethical, can lead to creating problem for that individual. Like if we take an example of an auditor, he is pressurized by his manager to show false profit for a client for which he will be given rewards. This would be an unethical activity and if the auditir follows the core behavior of integrity he would never indulge in any such activity after being lured by the manager.
So, here we saw that how challenging integrity may be at situations which accurately defines the behavior of the individual towards one's profession. This integrity self prepares the base for all other core behavior, like objectivity, professional competence, confidentiality and the professional behavior.
Therefore, the most challenging is the "integrity" core behavior.
