Find an article that relates to one or both of these topics probiotics and the human microbiota. and discuss the conclusions and applications of the article.
Pro-biotics is the beneficial microbes that modulate immune responses, provide key nutrients and suppresses the proliferation and virulence of infectious agents.Human microbiome is an indicative of the continous interplay among commensal microbes, pathogens, and human host. This article review about the state of the art regarding probiotics application to prevent or treat diseases of the pediatric gastrointestinal systems.Probiotics regulate local and systemic immunity,so it reduces allergic disease severity and susceptabilities of infants and children to allergies and atopic diseases. It offers alternatives for new strategies in therapeutic microbiology. This article reviews about an emerging technique to translate human microbiome research into new probiotics strategies for promotion of health and prevention of disease in children. Here, they review ongoing efforts to comprehensively charcterize the human microbiome, the collection of all bacterial genomes inhabiting the human host, and how this work will identify human probiotics. Finally, they formulate some predictions of how microbiomics and probiotics will impact medical management of various pediatric disorders. They recognized the well designed clinical studies that specify the precise nature of the probiotic strain and the dosage and mode of administration is justified. This review suggest the data of a possible role for probiotics in prevention of pediatric atopic dermatitis, but the data related to disease treatment with probiotics are unclear.Advances in the science of probiotics in the 21 st century will be fueled by human microbiome research and functional genomics of beneficial microbes. They facilitate digestion, absorption of vitamins, development of robust immune diseases, and suppresion of pathogens.First identification of genes responsible for key probiotic functions will enable derivation of genetically modified organisms, that will represent improved engineered alternative to natural probiotic strain. Many additional laboratory and clinical studies must be performed in the future to clarify mechanisms of probiosis with specific disease phenotype in children. They suggest the conclusion that humans have utilized beneficail bacteria via the diet throughout human history.
