The Jacksonian Era and the growing debate over the issue of slavery helped to create the U.S. system of two-party politics. The two-party American political system; has it hindered or enhanced the evolvement of the United States as a nation?

Two party system has both help the United States Government and it has also hindered the development of United State government to a certain extent as I am providing the statements in support of both point of view-

Statements in support of two party system that it has helped the United States of America to grow as a nation-

A.the political stability in United States is very high due to advantages associated with two party system.

B. Balance is achieved because there are multiple interest and opinions which are accommodated into the overall structure.

C.two party system will be providing the political information which is much easier to understand as each party is able to represent their own broad political philosophy.

D. There are very few voting choices, so they can make better decisions.

E. Two party systems is preferred because it will be discouraging the radical minor parties and governing them is much more simpler.

There are statements which will show that two party American political system has also hindered the development of United State as a nation because-

A.it will only offering people with Limited option when it comes to voting because they will not be having much options to select from and It will be ignored in the alternative choices.

B.it can also bring the governance to the stand still when the democracy and republicans cannot agree on certain issues and they cannot discuss anything rationally.

C.two party system also promotes corruption because politics is always linked with corruption no matter where you are in the world, so practices like patronage may be frowned upon and awarding of government contracts to party insider is a rampant practices to party systems.
