Here I am going to describe the matrix structure encouraging collaboration and communication within an organization more than a functional structure for a divisional structure.
According to many researches and experiments it is noted that applying the matrix structure in the organisation is more and carrying collaborations and communications rather than the functional structure or divisional structure. The matrix structure is applied when the project in your organization is of a limited period or a shorter time period. Within the shortest time period, The Matrix structure is applied to make sure that the communication takes place during the project efficiently and there is no hindrance in the collaboration and the communication within the organization. It is noted that the functional structure or the divisional structure sometimes tends to increase the cost of the organization's project because it becomes really hard to manage each division of the divisional structure and it requires a lot of resources for the functional structure so operating in the functional or the divisional structure may cause in the increment of the cost of the organization. therefore it will not be the false statement to say that the matrix structure is more encouraging towards the collaboration and communication than that of the functional structure or divisional structure.
