Literature review on emotional intelligence with generation-x with reference articles with citation
Emotional intelligence( EI) may be defined as the ability of a person to manage his feelings ,so that it can be expressed appropriately & effectively .
Generation x - the name given to to the people of America born between the mid 1960s & early 1980s , but there is a difference of opinion by other demographers ,that the period is between 1965 & 1979. Anyhow, all agree that Gen x follows the Baby Boom generation & precedes the Gen -Y or the millennial generation .
The assumption behind is that-- People born within the same frame time can be considered a same group , with similar views , values tastes, habits & even same thought process etc ,this structure has gained the idea of a generation gap & is broadly accepted by the Americans.
It may be review under some factors concerning emotional intelligence are being carried out by Gen -X . generation,of EI categories as 1)Self awareness- where people understand their own strengths & weaknesses , people able to learn from constructive criticism. 2) Self regulation - people have the ability to restraint & control their emotions 3) Motivation - people with high EI are self motivated & are driven by their inner consciousness & inner ambitions rather influenced by the out side forces.4) Empathy -An empathetic persons have compassion & the ability to connect with other peoples concerns & respond genuinely on emotional levels. 5) Social skills --EI level people build trust in other people & quickly gain respect & good terms with them .this also helps them to create innovations & may have good business terms.
Review on Gen -X & EI .
As the surveys figure out that the GenX clients were self directed 2) They used techonology as computers doing online work & wanted more technology based tools for their working conditions 3) the Gen X clients were busy & had less time to spend with their financial advisors or other groups. 4) Gen X people first became investors , who holded balanced funds to raise the income & growth. 5)Their priority was to hire fee-based professional rather than commission based persons.
According to the surveys from Fedral Reserve the percentage of respondent commited that they strongly agree that the created sizeable financial structure.
