Physically, the changes observed are their changing faces,
height, weight during both the age groups of 4-7 and 8-10. Many
children accept it and many questions these changes. During school,
they are being treated differently in class and among people of
same age groups also.
Cognitive changes are that they acquire a sense of understanding
and distinguish among people ad things. They get to know what to
touch and what may cause them harm. They start developing knowledge
about surroundings and also by learning what is taught in
school.
Socioemotional changes can be an attachment to their family,
friends, and relatives. They develop an unbreakable bond and
relationship with some people who matter in their life and then
fear of losing them bothers a lot. Ever seen a child crying for
his/her mother?
The emotional phase he goes through when you leave him alone? All
these become a part of his socioemotional changes.
