Bill 168 is an act to protect workers from workplace harassment and discrimination. It is an amendment to "occupational health and safety act " . It came into power on june 15,2010.

It ask employers to asses chances of workplace violance, developing policies against it, mechanisms to handle the complaints, and maintaining a safe environment to protect the workers. And it impose huge fine on employers in case if they fails to do so.It adds to the safety of the workers by-

- redefining workplace violence- It define workplace harassment as "A course of vexatious comments or conduct that is known, or ought reasonably to have been known, to be unwelcome"

- risk of workplace violence assessment

- screening of workers with history of voilance and crime.

-developing policies to protect the workers

-implementations of safety measures and protection

- serious consequences including heavy monetary fine and imprisonment if fail to follow the rules.
