Coca-Cola

Their biggest competitor is Pepsi (Pepsico) and Dr Pepper (Snapple Company). Pepsico - Besides a lot of consumers claiming that Pepsi soda is sweeter than Coke, which caused a rival between the two companies. Pepsico merged with Frito Lay in 1965 which has grown the brand and has given Pepsico more growth in sales.

Snapple Company - This company is totally separate from both Pepsico and Coca-Cola. Not only because this drink line does not come from either Coca-Cola or Pepsico, but because they offer 50 kinds of refreshing carbonated drinks, juices, teas, mixers, and even water.

For Coca-Cola I think their unique selling proposition is that you could enjoy their refreshing beverages without consuming so much sugar. The two brands above compete across several categories including sod beverages, health and energy drinks as well as bottled water and juices. But Coca-Cola seems to be superior in these areas because consumers are familiar with the product and have claimed the product to have less sugar than the other brands.
