Compare and contrast the Asch and Milgrim experiments, providing ample detail to illustrate your point.
The Milgram’s experiments on obedience to authority figures were proposed to understand the willingness from a diverse background of occupations with different levels of education.
The experiment found that a very population would fully obey the instructions, Milgram was researching the main hypothesis that why Nazi officers obeyed the instructions given by authority while they were aware of the Holocaust and series of homicide.
Asch conformity experiment refers to a series of study regarding the behavior of individuals with the traditions and beliefs and their effects on human behavior. The Asch conformity experiment is often interpreted as the evidence for the power of conformity and normative social influence, the normative influence was the willingness to conform publicly to attain social rewards.
1- Both experiments were related to social interventions and the effects of some specific attributes of behavior and social appreciation.
2- The experiments of Milgram was exploring the effects of orders by the authority while obedient were able to figure out the reality.
3- Asch, was working on the conformity and its effects on human behavior.
In my opinion, both experiments are important to understanding the effects of social attributes on human behavior.
