Research Proposal Draft
Write a 2-3-page paper addressing the sections below of the research proposal. Introduction Background and Significance of the Problem Statement of the Problem and Purpose of the Study Research Questions, Hypothesis, and Variables with Operational Definitions Research Question Hypothesis: Research and Null Identifying and Defining Study Variables Operationalize Variables -Using the following article.. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4323084/pdf/nihms642582.pdf
The study examine the relationships between NP role transition, prior RN experience, and a formal orientation. From a sample of 352 NPs, only a formal orientation contributed significantly to the regression model indicating a positive relationship with NP role transition (b = 6.24, p < .001). Knowledge of the factors that explain NP role transition is important to inform the discipline how best to support NPs during entry into practice.
The background of this article give information about the importance of nurse practitioner and their demand in healthcare settings. Introduction and background suggest the problems, challenges of registered nurse face during the transition into nurse practitioner.
The problem statement has a large importance in present scenario to identify problems of RN face during transition to NPs. Results can be used to solve and encourage nurse practitioner.
Questionnaire is used as the data collection tool by follow all ethical considerations. Questionnaire is essential and convenient to collect information from subjects. All choosed subjects are educated and can read English so questionnaire is the best tool.
The hypothesis is the proposed explanation made on limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation. Here concepts such as feelings of support vs. isolation; understanding of their role by patients, physicians, and other staff; and feeling prepared to manage patients and time are believed to be problems faced by nurses. A higher total score indicated the perception of an easier role transition. There are independent and dependant variables. RN and NP are independent variables and feelings etc are dependent because they are liable to change.
Operational definitions are the definition given by the researcher to the variables such as NP definition is nurse practitioner practiced after 1990. Research and Null identifying is the error finding in data analysis is done by Pearson's correlation in the given study.
