Explain the uniqueness of group decision making? How are group decisions made within your organization? Provide details
Group Decision:
Group decision can be defined as a process of decision making by a group of people who ignores logical and rational thinking. The purpose of group decision is to bring in harmony and one is which is above the rational thinking.
The uniqueness of group decision making is explained below:
1. In a group decision for a team building project wherein the team members where trained to value the “WE ATTITUDE” instead of “I ATTITUDE”.
2. The power of group decision making and it effectiveness were proved as where there will not be any conflicts among the members involved and all will accept each other’s ideas and views.
The group decision in our organization is made as explained below:
1. In order to mitigate conflict and increase trust and understanding among the team the group decision becomes an important tool for the organization.
2. In a group decision making the team members may avoid themselves from giving negative judgements are comments in order to avoid arguments which again build up the conflicts. So people involve with positive attitude and there will not be any chance for any conflicts.
3. In the group decision each one agrees to others decision without any opposition and so that boost the team to be motivated and involve with high level of interest to achieve the set goals.
4. In order to bring best out of group decision the team will be allowed to fully discuss the issue, share their thoughts and finally pick up the best decisions.
