A professor challenged your international business student organization to prepare a position paper on BPO practices. Her main question is: if cultural identity loss is occurring, do the financial benefits to the workers and employers make its loss worthwhile? Should the loss of cultural identity by BPO workers be a real social concern, or it is just a natural outcome of changes in the global economy? What are the main points you will bring to this project?

Expert Solution

I do imagine that the financial benefits gave to make the purported cultural character misfortune to the laborers and representatives beneficial. Everybody is hoping to improve life for themselves, and the wages that are being offered are fundamentally higher than normal compensation. The loss of cultural personality by BPO laborers is not a genuine social concern, it is only a characteristic result of changes going with the worldwide economy. These laborers appreciate this new culture they are acquainted with. They appreciate it so much that they are receiving the characteristics outside of the work environment too. I don't accept that they would keep acting along these lines outside of the work environment if they had an issue with it. They are acquainted with and instructed the Western culture and they happen to like it, which is typical. There ought not to be a worry about how they are acting and I don't imagine that they are losing their cultural personality. I consider it to be they are adjusting to the adjustments in the economy and simply attempting to be what we consider as cool.
