Answer-A metered - dose inhaler is a device that delivers a specific amount of medication to the lungs ,in the form of a short burst of aerosolized medicine that is usually self - administered by the patient via inhalation.
Metered dose inhalers are avilable in various brand names such as Budesonide,Folvent.
Budesonide -This is used to control and prevent symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. It works directly in the lungs to make breathing easier by reducing the irritation and swelling of the airways.
Folvent(Fluticasone)- This is a corticosteroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation.Folvent is used to prevent asthma attacks. This medicine will not treat an asthma attack that has already begun.
