Can men be feminists, or only feminist allies?
Yes, men can be feminists and as a matter of fact there are a lot of men out there who are true feminists and very open to the ideologies and tenets of feminism
But I feel that in reality men are actually just feminist allies as they have not really lived as a woman and experienced what women experience on a daily basis and they are also not supposed to speak for women as they don't know how does being a woman actually feels and relates herself to the world
A lot of men claim to be feminists because they want to avoid any sort of criticism and backlash if they say otherwise.
Females have seen years of oppression and toxic male domination that men are often uncomfortable with the idea of women and men being equals but that does not mean one cannot correct themselves and improve their perspective.
Men should help their sisters, mothers, partners and friends to move forward, have equal opportunities, not subject them to misogyny, etc.
