Solution for the problem is provided below, please
comment if any doubts:
Noise:
- Noise is the external agents producing unwanted signals that
can interfere with the communication process and it will cause
transmission impairment. The noise will results in error in
communication and the higher level of noise will results in
communication failure also.
There are many types of noises can be identified in the
communication scenario, important three are:
- Environmental noise:
- The noise that generated from common physical features and
environmental factors.
- The sounds that generated from vehicle traffic, environmental
features like rain, thunderstorm, noise from industries, etc. are
of higher intensity in nature. So it can interfere with the
communication media. These will results in the error or halt in
communication.
- These types of noise can be reduced by providing well insulated
transmission media.
- Cross communication noise:
- The communication or transmission media may not be of dedicated
channels, thus the same communication channel may be used by
multiple parties at same time. Some distinguishing mechanisms like
frequency are used to distinguish each communications
separately.
- But this communication scenario is susceptible to cross
communication, one communication fragments can be merged with
another communication. This will affect the communication process.
It is called cross communication noise. The cross talk in land
phones is a common example of cross communication noise.
- Internal source noise:
- The communication devices composed of many components like
transistors, inductors, resistors, etc. These components can
produce a unwanted noise when it working.
- Since the noise is produced internally a small magnitude can
also results in higher impact on communication.
- When the components are heated or working in a more frequency
than the normal usage an results in the internal source noise.
