The most common CSR activities were focused on environmental impact & sustainability efforts.

  • We can take the example of a community outreach coordinator at a sexual health non profit organization expressed that their primary focus was on prevention of HIV/AIDS.
  • Other practices which are environmental friendly like printing on both the sides of paper to avoid wastage of paper & reducing the power consumption of the printers are some of the activities adopted by majority of nonprofit organizations.
  • There are also organizations that focus on providing quality programs & services as a part of their CSR. This kind of quality programs focus on providing tips on healthy eating habits, fitness, exercises etc.
  • Some other expectations from nonprofits include providing free medical checkups in their area or throughout the country relating to pregnancy checks, for testing diseases like HIV/AIDS etc.
  • Some nonprofit organizations also visit many corporate & discuss about workplace safety, importance of cultural diversity to the employees of the organization.
  • Nonprofit organizations are also expected to clean places like temples or any other religious place in order to keep the premises of the deity neat & clean.
