According to WHO, World Health Organization, Health is being “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. It is in 1948.  

According to the World Health Organization, mental health is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”.

Personal health depends partially on one’s active, passive, and assisted observations about their health in their everyday life.

Hygiene is the practice of keeping the body clean to prevent infection and illness, and the avoidance of contact with infectious agents.

Goals of public health practice

Public health is science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting human health through organized efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, public and private, communities and individuals.

Goals includes:

** The health and health care needs of a population are assessed in order to identify subpopulations, families and individuals who would benefit from health promotion or who are at risk of illness, injury, disability or premature death.
