There are several points that describes the 'Importance of juvenile diabetes in public health' are as follows:-

1. T1D is found as the silent killer in most of the countriesor leaves the patient with diability.

2. it causes serious health problems permanent diability, considerable suffering and untimely deaths.

3. The main cause for Juvenile Diabetes is unknown but has multiple risk factors which are as follows:

- family history

- socio-economic status

- pre-pregnancy obesity

- advancematernal age

- ethnicity

- stress

4. Juvenile diabetes is present in most races than type 2 diabetes and it's no. of cases rising sharply.

5. according to the researches, life expectancy in T1D is reduced by 20 years.

6. Public Health always plans to develop the behaviour and life-style modification. but the main obstacle is that to persuade people to voluntarily change their life-style. where as most of the people changes their behaviour till the disease is cured but then they return to their old ways.

7. Mental health is also linked to diabetes. As schizophrenia is linked to wieght gain, which is associated with diabetes too.
