Explain why it is important for a public health professional to understand the pathophysiology of inflammation. Patho-physiology consists of processes which are thought to be associated with diseases or injury. Inflammation is basically a localised and physical phenomenon. In this process the part of affected body becomes red. Swelling with hotness is also being observed in this area. Pain also occurs in this affected area.
All these reactions took place in response to injury or infection. It is an important aspect of understanding the Patho-physiology of Inflammation. It ensures about the immunity of patient. It also tells about the extent to which medication is needed.
Body's own repairing system has capability to heal its injuries. It is better to get healed through natural processes rather than by engulfing various chemical compounds in form of medications. Understanding of inflammation is important.
In present time we hear about terms like antibiotic resistance. This phenomenon occurs due to overdose of medications. Various microorganisms become habitual to continuous exposures of medications. In later stages they reach to a stage of being resistant.
At this stage they are not being affected with medication. All these causes monetary losses along with environmental harm. Hence knowledge about body's immunity and inflammation is must. It remains always better to spend money on education rather than on treatment.
It is always said that prevention is better than cure. Education demands one time investment but it shows its effect for various generations. Education act as most effective tool for the sustainable development. One educated person in family can spread the message effectively to its family members and to nearby society. Hence spending on education about inflammation is an effective idea.
