1. The upper lateral incisors are most common congenitally missing teeth with prevalance of ± 2% of the population. Treartment options for partially edentulous patient who has bilateral missing maxillary canines and premolars are endosseous implant therapy, prosthodontic fixed and removable prostheses, resin bonded retainers, orthodontic movement of maxillary canine to the lateral incisor site and single tooth implants.
Different types of articulators are:
Mean Value Articulator - Non adjustable, non arcon type, designed using fixed dimensions
Hanau H2 Articulator - Condylar or non arcon type. Its prototype, designed by Rudolph Hanau, was originally designed for complete denture construction.
Whip – Mix Articulator - articulator with numerous modifications like condylar thumb-lock screws may be added to assure proper seating of the condyles while making hinge articulator movements.
