“A system”
Name and explain any system that you deal with in real life, in your explanation use all what you have learned about the characteristics of a system, where all parts must be clear and applied.
I would refer System as a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done. This can be also described as an organized method or scheme.
Let me describe in brief about a particular system. In this example, I'm referring to a process in an organization that deals with employment verification and education verification of employees.
This is described as a system because this process or department will follow a set of procedures for its operations. This department has a set of principles that could make verification of various components easy. It has a set of components basis on which verification will be decided. For example, In the case of employment verification, we usually look for the dates of employment and Job Title. If any of these are not available we should check with the candidate for an explanation. This is very important in this case. In the same way in case of Education verification, we look at the graduating year and school. Even in this case if any of the components is missing, We need to look for an explanation without which we cannot clear the verification of that employee. Meaning we are following the set of principles for the clearance of the verification. This constitutes the process.
In the same way, If any employee needs to be allocated to the project, His or Her background Verification should be cleared before onboarding that candidate. This can be an important process in many situations.
Characteristics of the System:
Organization: This includes the arrangement or coordination of different departments. In our case, we have Vendors, BV employees, and Project allocation teams.
Interaction: It refers to the communication between various members, functions, and components.
Interdependence: It defines the dependencies between various systems. In our process, we have a dependency on the vendors for reports and coordination with project management teams.
Integration: This refers to the coordination or flow of data between various systems.
Objectives: It refers to having a common objective for accomplishing goals.
To conclude we have the above description to explain a process.
