Strategic Versus Deep Learning The class that I took that I have to exercise strategic learner in order to pass a test is Chemistry, which happened to be a virtual learning and I basically have to do both the lab aspect of it online too and that was so hard for me, but I focused on one goal which is passing the class with a good grade. When it comes to surface learning, most of the time, we are unable to retain the information (Kabaker, 2015) or gain a valuable learning experience. I thought there is no reflection or purpose in trying to comprehend the information because the course won't directly relate or help me in Nursing career. But I somehow still manage to find a strategic way of passing the course, such as reviewing notes and simply memorizing information. , boot camp sessions, and flash cards. According to Potter et al, learning comes in three domains: cognitive (understanding), affective (attitudes), and psychomotor skills (Potter, Perry, Stockert, & Hall, 2017). The most important in my opinion is cognitive, which includes analyzing material. The questions on the Chemistry exam are multiple-choice and some essays questions too. They were not questions that I had to think a lot to find the answers. Exams that make you think of the answer or analyze what you've learned help in developing a deep learning experience. By analyzing the material, we are evaluating and understanding the deeper part of the meaning behind the class's objective. I also put more effort in characterizing the information, so I acted and responded to the information being given, and I examined the values and beliefs according to the course (Kabaker, 2015). All of these things helped me in better understand the material and relating to it, which turned out great after giving it a deep learning style. Do you agree with The statement Yes or No? Why?

Surface, deep and strategic learning
One of the most basic characteristics of any learning process is the depth of study that it involves, the two extremes in the spectrum being surface learning, deep learning, and strategic learning.
Surface learning (as its name implies) involves simply 'scraping the surface' of the material being studied, without carrying out any deep processing of the material. Students who adopt such a surface approach tend to work according to the following general pattern:
Students who adopt a deep approach, on the other hand, make a serious attempt to turn other people's ideas into their own personalised structure of knowledge. They tend to work according to the following general pattern:
Students who adopt a strategic approach to learning consciously set out to achieve the highest possible grades. They tend to work according to the following general pattern:
Clearly, all good teachers should try to give their students the opportunity to become deep rather than surface learners. Effective teachers also encourage students to be strategic when the occasion warrants.
