How does incarceration affect the health of the African American Community?

Two of the most important laws that put more minority people, especially the African Americans in the prison. This would mean that poverty, unemployment, political representation, lack of housing and medical facilities. Institutional racism that systematically neglect black people from education, employment, housing etc. force them to engage in deviant behaviours for their survival that lead them to prison. This would mean that continuous imprisonment would lead them not to have any quality life outside which would not only make them vulnerable to physical illnesses but also would lead them to develop psychological disorders. When they return back to the society, they wouldn’t be able to lead a normal life due to the labelling by the society as criminals. This would lead them to engage in unhealthy behaviours and continue to engage in deviant behaviours.
