Entertainment programming is telecasting shows on television, etc to provide general information, divert people's mind and relieve stress. There is a great impact of entertainment programming on socialization and reinforcing or eliminating varios stereotypes. It has both positive and negative impacts in respective aspects.Entertainment programmes deliver information which depicts that communication skills and good behaviour is essential when a person is in public place. It is a positive impact as people will get to know the manners which is necessary while making an impression or communicating with other people.Entertainment programmes even update people with slang words which are currently trending. So,with the entertainment programmes, people started to communicate well with other people.Actors or celebrities who act in these entertainment programmes follow latest trends in dressing and viewers, people get influenced and start imitating those trends while dressing.Few entertainment programmes like news;update people with political, social issues and crimes which happened across the world. It is found that people started developing positive thoughts regarding gender equality, respecting other people. When compared to past, equality among genders have increased as there is better communication between them and people stopped body shaming, insulting to an extent. All these things promote socialization where people started giving their individual opinions during public discussions. It also eliminated stereotypes like domination of one gender, two different genders shouldn't communicate with eachother, people with abnormal body cannot perform, etc. All these are eliminated to an extent.

There are negative impacts of entertainment programmes on socialization.Few entertainment programmes depict aggressiveness, brutality through which children and adults started behaving in an agressive manner by imitating those programmes.Socialization increased in such a way that when poeple started giving their individual opinions, most of them are targeted and controversies are made on opinions. It turned out to be negative impact caused by entertainment programmes as people are practising such acts in real life. This shows that few people are targeted unnecessarily which is reinforcing stereotypes.

Hence, entertainment programming has both negative and positive impact on socialization.Stereotypes are not completely eliminated and are reinforced by performing few acts.It is clear that there is impact of entertainment programming on socialization and reinforcing or eliminating stereotypes.
