Expert Solution

The three parameters which must be defined for a host to able to communicate with host on a remote network is
Host name
IP address
Default Gateway.

Actually there are more parameters I am writing all you can select any as you wish

IP address

subnet mask

default gateway

DNS server

Hostname.

Broadcast address.

these parameters must be defined for a host to able to communicate with host on a remote network.

without these the host won't be able to communicate with host on a remote network.

Subnet mask is a part of the IP address and it identifies update in IP address and with the help of subnet mask and part of the host address it allows to communicate with different type of subnets. What we also need is to define the IP address of the DNS server so that we can have the logical names on the network to connect to the host on other remote network.

Hosts A and B are communicating over a TCP connection and Host B has already received from A all bytes up through byte 126. Suppose Host A then sends two segments to Host B back-to-back (See the figure below). The first and second segments contain 80 and 40 bytes of data respectively. In the first segment, the sequence number is 127, the source port number is 302, and the destination port number is 80. Host B sends an acknowledgment whenever...

The OSI and the TCP/IP reference models are defined in seven and four layers, respectively. Research and discuss why this approach to a network model works better than a single layer model and provide a brief discussion on the benefits of the multi-layer approach. In what other everyday activities could layered approaches also be applied to explain its steps or activities?
