To minimise the occurrence of non communicable diseases, there are several measures to be taken in order to curb the number of deaths anually due to NCDs.

First of all, what are NCDs?

They are non communicable diseases i.e. one cannot get affected by its presence in their surroundings. For eg - Cancer, diabetes, HIV AIDS, Coronary Heart Diseases, liver damage, etc.

Preventive measures that can be taken in order to pull down the number of cases who die from these diseases:

1. Target to be on excessive overuse of Substance like drugs. It has become a fad in modern world especially among the youth. Some consume it to relax or shun themselves away from reality ( a medium of escape) whereas others under the peer pressure.

2. Next, abuse of alcohol - Alcoholism is a common intaker for all the ages of people. Inspite of knowing the consequences, peolpe involve themselves in frequency drinking habits.

3. Smoking causes Cancer . Inspite of the tagline flashed on every packet of cigarette, people don't realise the urgency of the message conveyed. It's a mere addiction that soon becomes a compulsion.

4. Overeating - There are eating disorder like bulimia nervosa and Anorexia where in the person either eats too much or strarve themselves to death. Also too much of eating leads to purge out ( vomiting). Soon the wrong eating habits can cause to your biological as wellwas psychological system.

5. No physical activity is the biggest reason for heart attacks, high cholesterol , Blood pressure issues. It is recommended to walk after having dinner and follow some regular fitness regimes to maintain a healthy diet.

I think paying attention to these major areas initially will bring gradual changes in the lifestyle of the people. These are all lifestyle changes that is the main cause of increase in number of death cases with reference to NCDs.

Nutritionists stress that weight control generally requires significant reductions in the intake of fat. A random sample of 64 middle-aged men on weight control programs is selected to determine whether their mean intake of fat exceeds the recommended 30 grams per day. The sample mean and standard deviation are 37 and 32 respectively. At a 5% level of significance can you conclude that the true mean intake of fat exceeds 30 grams per day? Find also the P-value.
