What is the role or well-qualified workers in using glass in architecture?
Glass is the new modification that is being done in the construction systems. Now a days the modern buildings prefer glasses to be used so that the looks are better and we will discuss about various aspects where using of glass is being affected in architecture.
Technical : The use of glass has changed the technology of the building constructions. It is a brittle material hence some admixtures are added to provide toughness and strength in the structure and these structures need to be maintained in a better way and should be designed using high technical knowledge about the forces and stress acting on it.
Environmental : The major impact of glass in the construction or architecture is that glass is being produced by melting and high amount of toxic gas is being produced which would be harmful for health. The melting lead to the emission of carbon dioxide and it is the only green house gas that is being released in this process affecting the environment.
Economic Effects : Glass would be economic in construction of the buildings as it would save sufficient amount of energy as it permits daylight to come inside and due to that less requirements of artificial lights would be there in the day time.
The role of well qualified workers is very much in the glass architect field as glass is a sensitive and brittle material having risk of failure or breaking at the time of for. So it is required that the workers should be fully trained and also be skilled. The joints and frames should be placed appropriately so that adequate strength is being provided to the structure and all these measures are to be taken care and would not be possible to handle for the unskilled and new workers.
