Part B Preliminary Technical Argument (300-400 words): Succinctly guide your reader through your technical argument. Using the background as your starting point, and with appropriate references in IEEE format, build the case for your persuasive position. Explain to your reader why the literature/your calculations support your position. Again, this should be written at a level understandable by your peers (first year engineering students in SEE). You may find it useful to use visuals to support your argument. Note: Your technical argument will need to be expanded for your full paper and will need to be rewritten to be accessible to your intended audience.

what are the (economic, social, environmental) impacts of a green recovery from COVID19?
The covid-19 pandemic has affected the social and economic life of many nations across the globe. The economic conditions induced by the pandemic has the potential to push many millions to the verge of poverty. The economy has been stalled by the closure of industries, millions lost their jobs across the globe and much of the population were driven to the verge of poverty. The economies across the globe has introduced many solutions to the pandemic issue to tide over the effects in the post-covid era. It is in this scenario that the impacts of human interference on the nature has to be analysed and the way forward should have a focus on the restoration of the nature. This is where the concept of ‘green recovery from covid-19’ finds a place. Green recovery focus on the restoration of the nature and restoration of the effects that the human has induced on nature. These effects are believed to have caused many natural calamities of which the recent spread of covid-19 is no different. This project for the green recovery is expected to have many effects which can be categorised in to economic , social and environmental impacts which are discussed as follows
Economic, social and environmental impacts of green recovery from covid-19
· ‘Green economy’ is a concept that is closer to the green recovery in the covid era. This means that the recovery would be focused on the restoration of the nature which means that the cost spend on the restoration purpose would be higher which may impact the total allocations in the economy.
· The restoration of the nature would mean that the cost incurred on the effects caused by natural calamities and other natural disasters can be minimised to a good effect
· The nature can be made use of to a better effect and advantages can be taken by taking advantage of the economic benefits of the nature.
· The reduction of transportation during the covid time has made good impacts on the nature and has helped the environment to restore itself.
· Natural resources can be reaped in a more efficient manner when the nature is more protected and hence the restoration would help in bettering the revenue generating capacity of the economy in the longer run
· The society would be more stable due to the inherent economic stability and hence those benefits can be realised by the people in the society.
· The green construction is expected to grow at over 20% and hence the raw materials that could impact the nature can be reduced by this
· The carbon emissions can be reduced in such an environment and hence the economic costs can be reduced to a certain extent.
All the above are the major benefits of the green recovery in the post-covid scenario and thus the economy, environment and society can be benefited from this.
