Where is the socially accepted line between "erotic suggestiveness" and "explicit sexuality" in advertising? Describe three hypothetical ads: one is safely suggestive, one that is as suggestive as it is acceptable (say, for a prime-time network TV spot or national newsmagazine), and one that is just over the line of explicitness.
Respond to two other posts. How or why do you think your answer differ? What roles might your age or social background play in these differences?
It depends on which kind of society live in. Erotic suggestivness and explicit sexuality in advertising had very thin line as in government advertising on sexual education, these kind ofbads are socially acceptable even some time they can go over the line. But the truth is when it comes to greater good it's acceptable.
Here we are talking about three ads all are of different kinds. Overspeed ad which tells everyone to not drive fast and be safe because someone is waiting in your home. This is the example of safely suggestive ad.
Advertisement of condoms which tells the merits and demerits of condoms that is basically aware us about sexually transmitted diseases. It's suggestive as well as acceptable.
A ad which promotes different kinds of sex styles and at the same time promoting sexual lubrication products, these kind of ads are just over the line of explicitness.
Every one has their unique point of view so perspective or answer could differ from people to people. Teenager harmones are most active so they can get away from studies or deviated from their path and get into wrong way while if the person is in mid aged he knows what's good or bad for him we can say that experience or age plays a great role.
