Think critically about your definition of a person.

  • What does it mean to be a person?
    In other words, what are the essential characteristics or traits necessary for human personhood?
  • There is a variety of scientific, philosophical, and religious assumptions about when a person starts.
    Select at least TWO of the following assumptions about the start of personhood and describe them in your initial post.

A person is defined as an individual who have characteristics of a human being.

The person have his own personality or character. The character will vary from person to person.

It depends on the family,environment and society he lives.If they are good   may helps to develop good character.

The human beings have specific characters like

-Have good personality

- Intelligence.

-critical thinking skills.

-Good character and individuality.

-language and communication skills.

-Mental skills like critical thinking and decision making etc.

There were several assumptions about starting of personhood.

The human beings are originated and developed from cells.

The religious concept like God created man (Adam and Awa.) etc.

The latest technologiesand science will provide explanation about origin of human being or person.

A foetus is developed in the womb as a result of mating of a male and female parents. After mating the fusion of ovum and sperm occurs called fertilization.

As a result of fertilization the single cell called zygote is formed.

conception is the term used to denote the presence of pregnancy.

Implantation occurs in the endometrium on the 6th to 8th day after ovulation.

In 2 to 3 week the heart beat starts.

The foetus become viable around 12 week.

The foetus comes to the external environment in36 to 42 weeks.

After birth the new born moves across several stages.

-neonate - birth to 4 week.

infancy- 1 month to1 year

Adolescence

Adults.

Death is the end of life.All the body organs stops its functioning.

-spiritually tells that man lost hope and reached near to God.

The human beings life cycle is influenced by the family, society and environment. It helps to develop good personality , character ,values.

So we must try to live as a good human being .
