Expert Solution

In Latin America countries crime rate is increasing day by day and it not under control through traditional policing . These crime including narco terrorism, money laundering , rapes, human trafficking, drug trafficking etc.

That why these countries are adopting community based policing strategies which were famous in USA during 1990s decade also successful in recent time. This type of policing focus on police and local people cooperation to mitigate crime and investigation and to found out each and every thing about crime. This type of policing more focusing on cause of crime , rather simply responding on crimes. This can be done through empowerment of peoples, strong cooperation and collaboration of people and police, through improvement if social services and use of better crime statistics etc.

This type of policing is considerble success in some field while less or no success in other which was totally depended on public cooperation and partnership, funding to such cooperation as well as infrastructure available for police . Political will and effectiveness of policy making in this regard as well as their implementation in transparent manner also decide success of such policing.
