Why do you think health insurance in America is as complicated as it is?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Yes, health insurance in the United States of America is complicated. It is because the insurance sector is regulated at the state level. The insurance companies are required to license their companies in each state by putting up their assets in the state and follow the rules and rates approved by the department concerned in that particular state. Also, every state has a different set of laws that makes the insurance further complicated as the companies have to adjudicate claims as per the laws.
