Why do you think the US is ranked lower in quality but the highest in expenditures...

Answer: The federal government spends huge amount on the healthcare sector. The major reason for the poor quality of health is that many people doesn't have healthcare insurance. The cost of the healthcare is too high as normal test and procedures are heavily charged. The Medicaid and Medicare doesn't cover all the healthcare facilities. And hence the increased cost of medicines and diagnostic procedure lead to reduced healthcare.

People are unable to have adequate healthcare access due to expensive medical facilities and treatment. People also unable to insure themselves or to have healthcare coverage because of costly premium rates. Hence it becomes difficult for people to have easy access to the healthcare.

People with low income are unable to have proper healthcare facilities. Hence this is one of the major concern in the USA.

In the UK, the healthcare is provided by the NHS i.e. National health services to all the permanent residents. Hence it has better and healthy people as compared to USA.
