Distinguish between effective, weak, and failed states. Give examples.
An effective state is the political body of the state that is working well in terms of the national law and civil laws are been adhered to. The economy is doing well and the freedom of life and liberty is well preserved for all the people in the state. An example is The USA which is thriving with all its institutions working and achieving the role that is meant for them by the constitution.
A weak state like the state of Pakistan in Asia is a good example. The government is not strong and has various liabilities towards the foreign powers and the people in the state are having bad times dealing with daily needs. So the sovereign government is still there but it's incapable of administering the nation or its people well as enshrined in their constitution.
A failed state for the example of Syria in the Middle East or Western Asia is an example of a failed state. The political bodies have failed to keep up the basics for its people or the government to an extent that the government is no longer working properly and the people are hugely suffering for daily needs.
