Eating disorders noted in DSM-5
Anorexia nervosa
Which primarily affects adolescents girls and young women,is characterised by distorted bodily image and exescive that dieting that leads to severe wait loss with a pathological fear of becoming fat.
Issues :- Extreme restrictions in food can lead to starvation, malnutrition and dangerously low body waight.
Bulimia nervosa
Frequent episodes of binge eating episode (the consumption of abnormally large amount of in
a short period) immediately followed by self induced vomiting,fasting,over exercising or the misuse of laxatives,enamas and diuretics.
Purging disorder
When a person consumes what is considered as normal amount of food.but still uses lexatives or self induced vomiting to influence their weight or shape.
Night eating syndrome
Consume a lot of food in just before going to bed after having the evening meals or waking up in the night for eating food.
