As a result of constant oppression or discrimination in different tasks, people of color, African descent in this case, are constantly stripped off their human rights. As a result of this constant subjugation, not only is the victim impoverished economically, but, it takes a toll on the very soul and heart of the person. Though, on paper, slavery has been abolished the ground reality is, discrimination exists.

but, as the time has changed, so has the courage that people have displayed from time to time. With the advent of social media and the growing awareness among people, such cases of discrimination do not go unnoticed. Rather, they receive voice, which is world wide. But, the people from African descent have their own role to play in ending this phenomenon. The following could be considered:

- increasingly active roles as leaders of various organizations , not only political but other corporate companies.
- taking up active roles in debates and group participation
- taking up active roles in various ngos

- more participation in different self help groups and community centres.
