Solutions

Expert Solution

1. While households create ordinary garbage, Industries create solid and dangerous waste which contain chemicals that are very hazardous to the environment and indirectly also to the people.

2. These hazardous chemicals can enter through various sources like tanks, landfills, factories, etc. These prevail in air, water, soil and also on plants and animals. Through this they enter to our bodies through food we eat, air we breathe and water we drink.

3. Due to the crisis of employment to the existing society, these industrial processes can't be stopped or banned immediately as these things create huge employment rate useful in one way to the society. So in order to eliminate one or the other requirements of people, the other one is getting compromised.

4. So various government agencies like Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), ATSDR, MDNR, etc. are establishing standards in order to control the contamination levels.

5. Human body has capacity to eliminate these hazardous chemicals to a certain extent but the amount, time and type of the chemical inhaled might have adverse affects on the body. So the agencies of some kind mentioned above fixed certain standard levels till where there will be no effect on the human body even inhaled and anything more than that will be restricted.
